You may need urgent medical treatment.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sudden swelling of the face lips, or throat. Hives (also known as nettle rash or urticaria). Severe irritation, reddening or blistering of your skin. These may be signs of a severe allergic reaction</li>\n<li>Blistering of your skin, mouth, eyes or genitals</li>\n<li>Stomach pain or severe swollen stomach</li>\n<li>Severe constipation</li>\n<li>Loss of consciousness or reduced level of consciousness (feeling faint)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Other medicines and Loperamide</b></p>\n<p><b>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking: </b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>ritonavir (used to treat HIV)</li>\n<li>quinidine (used to treat abnormal heart rhythms or malaria)</li>\n<li>itraconazole, ketoconazole (used to treat fungal infections)</li>\n<li>gemfibrozil (used to reduce levels of cholesterol)</li>\n<li>oral desmopressin (used to treat excessive urination)</li>\n<li>other drugs that slow down or speed up movement in the gut</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>How to take Loperamide</b></p>\n<p><b>Short-lived (acute) diarrhea</b></p>\n<p><b>Adults and children over 12 years:</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take two tablets to begin with and then one tablet after each episode of diarrhea for up to 5 days.</li>\n<li>Never take more than 8 tablets in any 24-hour period.</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Children aged 9-12 years:</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take one tablet 4 times daily until diarrhea is controlled or for up to 5 days.</li>\n<li>Never take more than this dose.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Children aged under 9 years old:</b></p>\n<p>This medicine should not be given to children under 9 years old. Other pharmaceutical forms/strengths (e.g. syrup) are available for children aged 4 years and over.</p>\n<p>If your symptoms are not getting better within 2 days of taking your first dose of this medicine, you should see your doctor again, who may want to examine you to further check on the cause of the diarrhea.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Long-lasting (chronic) diarrhea</b></p>\n<p><b>Adults only:</b></p>\n<p>Your doctor will tell you how much Loperamide to take.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The initial dose will probably be between two and four tablets per day taken in divided doses, but will depend on each individual's needs. When your doctor is satisfied that you are receiving the daily dose that best suits you, he or she will then probably suggest that you take your tablets twice a day.</li>\n<li>Never take more than 8 tablets in any 24-hour period.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>How to store Loperamide</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.</li>\n<li>Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label or carton after 'EXP'. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.</li>\n<li>Store in the original package.</li>\n<li>If the tablets become discolored or show any other signs of deterioration, consult your pharmacist who will tell you what to do.</li>\n<li>Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. For the prevention of abnormal scars, it is recommended the use of Lecoxen cream for a minimum treatment of 60–90 days. Other pharmaceutical forms/strengths (e.g. syrup) are available for children aged 4 years and over.</p>\n<p>If your symptoms are not getting better within 2 days of taking your first dose of this medicine, you should see your doctor again, who may want to examine you to further check on the cause of the diarrhea.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Long-lasting (chronic) diarrhea</b></p>\n<p><b>Adults only:</b></p>\n<p>Your doctor will tell you how much Loperamide to take.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The initial dose will probably be between two and four tablets per day taken in divided doses, but will depend on each individual's needs. Children and adolescents:</li>\n<li>Miconazole cream is not recommended for use in children or adolescents under the age of 18.<br />Other medicines and Miconazole nitrate cream:</li>\n<li>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.</li>\n<li>This includes medicines that you buy without a prescription or herbal medicines. In particular, tell your doctor if you are taking: Medicines to thin the blood (anticoagulants) such as warfarin.</li>\n<li>Your doctor will need to check that the anticoagulant is working properly. Medicines for diabetes, taken by mouth</li>\n<li>Medicines that act on the heart and blood vessels called ‘calcium channel<br />blockers’ such as dihydropyridines and verapamil.</li>\n<li>Medicine for epilepsy called phenytoin.</li>\n<li>Medicines to lower cholesterol called lovastatin or simvastatin</li>\n<li>Tell your doctor before taking, or if you are already taking any of the above.<br />They may need to alter your treatment.</li>\n<li>Pregnancy and breast-feeding</li>\n<li>If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning<br />to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.</li>\n<li>You may still be able to use Miconazole nitrate cream if your doctor thinks you need.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>How To Use:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you.</li>\n<li>Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>For Infections of The Vagina: Your doctor may suggest treatment over 7 days:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Insert the cream into the vagina once daily before bedtime for 7 days<br />Your doctor will tell you how much cream to use and for how long you should use it.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Inserting the cream into your vagina:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unscrew the filled applicator and replace the cap on the tube Lie down with your knees bent and spread apart.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Insert the yellow end of the applicator with the green band well into your vagina:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Push the plunger firmly but gently.</li>\n<li>Empty the cream into your vagina by pushing the plunger as far as it will go</li>\n<li>Remove the applicator and put it in the bin with your household rubbish</li>\n<li>Always wash your hands with soap and water after using the cream</li>\n<li>The cream does not stain your skin or clothes but you may want to use a sanitary towel.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>For infections outside the vagina:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply the cream to the affected area twice each day.</li>\n<li>Lightly cover the skin around your vagina with a thin, even layer of cream.</li>\n<li>Always wash your hands with soap and water after using the cream.</li>\n<li>Keep using the cream until the course is finished, even during your period.</li>\n<li>Do this, even if the redness, itching and discharge go away before the end of the course.<br />If you forget to use:</li>\n<li>Don’t worry, apply the next dose of cream as usual and keep using the<br />cream as your doctor has told you.</li>\n<li>Do not use a double dose of cream to make up for a missed dose</li>\n<li>If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Possible side effects:</strong></p>\n<p>Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.<br />Stop using cream and tell your doctor straight away if you notice the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Severe irritation or reddening of the skin, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, light headedness, wheezing or difficulty breathing or other signs of allergy during the first few days of treatment.</li>\n<li>This only happens in a small number of people Other side effects:</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is much milder than an allergic reaction.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if these feelings continue Skin rash or hives (also known as nettle rash or urticaria).</li>\n<li>Stomach pain Low stomach pains (pelvic cramps).</li>\n<li>Infection of urine or pain in passing urine.</li>\n<li>Vaginal bleeding.</li>\n<li>Feeling sick (nausea).</li>\n<li>Redness of the face.</li>\n<li>Reporting of side effects.</li>\n<li>If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>How to store Miconazole cream:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.</li>\n<li>Do not store above 25°C. Do not use:</li>\n<li>After the expiry date which is stated on the packaging.
